FMS FLEXIBLE ASSEMBLY SYSTEM Efficient and flexible assembly automation With its progressive assembly system FMS, Bihler gives new impulses to the fully automatic flow-line assembly. The flexibly expandable system allows for the efficient production and assembly of complex mechanical and electromechanical assemblies at high quality and a high machine cycle rate. The combination of different operations as well as multiple processing on one plant lead to the elimination of intermediate work steps; downstream machines are no longer needed. Free access to all units facilitates mounting, setting and servicing operations. For more substantial applications, the FMS can be extended in various axes and may be interlinked with other units to form assembly lines.
