Product catalog summary
Overview of Contact Welding Units
Bihler's contact welding units, specifically the D1Q, D2Q, and D3Q models, are designed for high-speed, reliable mass production of contact components. These units can achieve up to 800 welds per minute and feature a 'Quickchange' system that significantly reduces retooling time by over 90% compared to traditional units.

Applications
The units are versatile and can be used across various sectors, including IT, control engineering, and both low and high voltage engineering. They are capable of processing a wide range of semi-finished products and contact sizes.

Key Features
  • Maximum Production Speeds: Capable of up to 800 welds per minute.
  • Minimum Retooling Times: Quick changes in contact length, electrode, contact size, and shape.
  • User-Friendly Handling: Adjustable weld pressure, easy electrode opening measurement, and variable feeder length settings.
  • High Quality and Reliability: Preset subassemblies, high-quality tools, and precise horizontal feed of semi-finished products.
  • Flexible Use: Can process round wire and profiled wire with one gripper system.

Technical Specifications
The units are modular systems that cover all necessary process steps, including contact feeding, transport, cutting, and positioning. They are compatible with older generations and offer rapid-clamp devices for media feed and measuring lines.

Special Features for Silver Graphite Materials
The contact welding unit for silver graphite materials (AgC) includes an integrated cleaning station to remove graphite residue, enhancing electrode service life and ensuring reproducibility of each weld.

NC Control System
The NC control allows for cycle-independent movements, enabling independent operation of the welding units. This system optimizes movement processes to prevent deformation of welding auxiliaries.

Conclusion
Bihler's contact welding units offer a comprehensive solution for high-speed, reliable production of contact components with minimal retooling time and maximum flexibility.

Maximum process reliability and exact reproducibility The contact welding unit is designed for welding contacts made from silver graphite materials (AgC). Thanks to the integrated cleaning station, any graphite residue is removed from the electrode contact surfaces after each weld, significantly increasing the electrode service life. Undefined conditions in the welding process are avoided. Each weld can be perfectly reproduced. - Flexible use - High production speeds of up to 180 welds/min. are possible - Processing of profiled strips - Individual feeding of contact plates Function Turret electrode...

for contact welding units NC control for flexible deployment The NC control serves to perform cycle-independent movements. All contact welding units can therefore be adjusted independently of the slide movement of the press or other mechanically generated pulses and can be independently operated. The advantage? Through optimally adjusted movement processes, the closing speed of the electrode can be reduced to avoid deformation of the welding auxiliaries on the lower side of the contact. All motion profiles can be freely programmed by the higher-level welding control unit B 5000. Contact transport...
