There is no primary standard pyranometer. In effect, this is the calculation of GHI from accurate DHI and DNI measurements. Because of the faster response, standardised digital Modbus® interface and the built in digital temperature compensation the SMP3 is superior to the CMP3. SMP10, SMP11, SMP21 and SMP22 are the Smart digital equivalents of the CMP series pyranometers. They have faster response and more flexible connectivity.
