By means of innovative cartridges, one at each feed, fitted on the machine just below the cylinder needles cam boxes. The needles are made to rise by rocking elements, placed under the needles, through 39 step selection levers controlled by jacks suitably positioned in the pattern cartridge. This cartridge is rapidly replaceable and is held in position by a hinged lid. The loading of the selecting jacks inside the supporting cartridge, is made with the help of a small elctro-mechanical machine, by moving two levers while reading the pattern.
