Process and Equipment Description Based on OriginOil’s proprietary Electro Water Separation™ (EWS) technology, EWS Aqua™ Model 60 (“the Aquappliance™”) is a low-cost aquaculture water treatment system designed for ammonia and microbiology management, ideal for the development and piloting of commercial-scale aquaculture production. By adopting EWS technology to sanitize water in a continuous process, farms can free up valuable land currently utilized as filtration ponds, and reduce or eliminate expensive and hazardous chemicals and antibiotics. EWS Aqua can also synergistically operate with OriginOil’s EWS Algae system (“the Algae Appliance™) to allow fish farmers to quickly harvest highly nutritious and cost-effective fish feed. The self-contained, skid-mounted device is equipped with an integrated auto-adaptive control system to manage flow rates and decontamination levels. The Model 60 is modular and stackable to allow multiple units to run in parallel. V20013Q3b – 12 Aug 2013 Aquaculture Water Processing The water feeds directly from the production systems into EWS Aqua. No pretreatment is required. EWS Aqua is equipped with its own integrated control system to manage optimum operational settings. As the water from the aquatic species production system passes through EWS Aqua, it undergoes a two-stage treatment process: 1. Tuned electro-magnetic pulses oxidize ammonia into nitrates. 2.
