Overview

The SHSD24-01A is a motor drive controller designed for all brushless motors. It supports operation both with and without Hall sensors and features automatic supply voltage adjustment to minimize discrepancies between commanded and actual rotation speeds. The controller includes a current limit function for protection and provides status feedback via LED, LCD, and analog voltage output.

Operation Modes

• RMi-E Mode: Rotation speed and direction controlled by external input/output signals.
• VR Mode: Speed and direction controlled by built-in potentiometer or switch.
• PC Mode: Speed and direction controlled via RS232C interface from a PC (software required).

• Enable/Disable Signals: Enable operation at <1.0 V or GND; disable at >4.0 V or open circuit.
• Analog Speed Output: 0 V corresponds to 0 rpm; 5 V corresponds to maximum speed.

Protection and Status Indicators

The controller includes a current limit function to protect the motor and driver. Status and error conditions are indicated by LEDs and can be monitored via LCD or analog voltage output. The LED lights up in case of setting errors.

Supported Motors

The SHSD24-01A supports a wide range of Orbray brushless motors, including models BMN04-08XX, BMNO7-12XX, BMS10-10XX, BMS10-18XX, BMS12-15XX, BMS12-21XX, BMS16-20XX, BMS16-30XX, BRS/BRT12-15XX, BRS17-15XX, B4S12-21XX, B4S22-3210, BRS/BRT17-18, and SOBL23-12XX. Sensorless brushless motors can be operated with specific drivers like SSD06-R5A.

Usage Recommendations

These drivers are intended primarily for testing Orbray brushless motors. For actual applications, it is recommended that customers develop their own control programs. Detailed specifications and support can be requested from Orbray.
