Optical Inner Wall Metrology System Enables visualization of the inner surface of fine holes that was not visible before! This precision measuring machine utilizes optical interference of near-infrared light to make it possible to visualize inner peripheral surfaces which were previously not viewable. It is now possible to measure the inner diameter and roundness of small parts that could not be measured before without cutting them in half. In addition, simultaneous measurement of the inner diameter, roundness, roughness, and shape (which all previously had to be measured separately using dedicated tools) can reduce the measurement time from 30 minutes per bore, to 30 seconds. Equipped with our world's smallest Φ0.9mm motor, a special optical imaging probe, and our patented tilt correction algorithm, this new-concept measuring machine realizes ① measurement of bores as small as Φ1.1mm ② simultaneous measurement of bore diameter/roundness/shape ③ repeatability of σ=0.2μm ④ setting-free measurement. Combining both our micro motor and photonics technologies, this is certainly a product unique to our company.
