Low Center Motors

Product catalog summary
Company Overview: ORANGE1 Electric Motors Spa, originally Eme Spa, was established in 1971 and has grown through significant R&D investments. In 2018, it merged with CEG srl to form ORANGE1 Electric Motors Spa, part of the Orange1 Holding Group, a leading European manufacturer producing over 1 million electric motors annually.
Product Range: The company offers Low Center Motors designed for high power applications with limited axle height. These motors are available in three-phase (ET) and single-phase (EM) versions, suitable for inverter duty use, allowing variable motor frequency and speeds over 3000 RPMs. They feature redesigned housings for enhanced cooling and performance.
Technical Specifications: Motors are available in 2 and 4 pole versions, with 6 pole options on demand. Standard couplings include B3 and B14, with custom options available. Key specifications include a rated voltage of 230/400V 50Hz for motors ≤ 3 kW and 400/690V 50Hz for motors > 3 kW, protection rating of IP55, winding insulation class F, and efficiency class IE1.
Performance Data: Detailed performance data is provided for various motor sizes, including power rating, speed, current, power factor, efficiency, torque, and inertia. Data is categorized by duty cycles S6 - 60% and S1, with specific values for each motor size and configuration.
Dimensions: The document provides detailed dimensional data for different motor sizes, including mounting and installation measurements for both ET and EM series motors.
Specifications: Dimensions for different motor sizes (e.g., EM63S, ET63S, EM80S) are listed with parameters such as A, AB, AC, AA, B, L, LB, Y, K, P, and others. Flange options like IEC 80 are specified with dimensions P=Ø120, N=Ø80, M=Ø100.
Brake Options: Motors can be equipped with a Direct Current Brake (FPC), suitable for applications requiring progressive braking. Standard features include brake rated voltage (230V for Pn ≤ 3 kW, 400V for Pn > 3 kW), protection rating IP54, and specific brake torque and engagement times.
Electric Data: Electric data for motors with 2 and 4 poles is detailed, including power (Pn), speed (rpm), current (In), efficiency (η), and torque (Mn) for both star and delta connections.
Torque and Speed: A graph illustrates the relationship between torque and speed, highlighting continuous and intermittent duty, breakdown torque, and rated power for star and delta connections.
Inverter Drive: Motors are suitable for inverter applications, with considerations for angular contact ball bearings and nominal torque variations at different frequencies.
Additional Notes: Special rectifiers with EMC filters are available, and specific information such as supply voltage, application data, and duty cycle is needed when placing an order.

Low Center Motors The range of Low Center Motors is particularly suitable for applications where high power is required with limited axle height compared to the range of motors UNEL -MEC. They are produced in three phase (ET) and single phase versions (EM), 2 and 4 pole. (6 pole on demand). This range is also designed for inverter duty use, for applications where it is necessary to vary the motor frequency to reach speeds greater than 3000 rpms. In building these Low Center Motors, CEG uses only the highest quality components and highest grade materials. Housings have been redesigned. The new...

Low Center Motors can be equipped with a Direct Current Brake (FPC). Brake motor external sizes are equal to those of the corresponding standard motors (see pages 6-13). This brake is particularly suitable for applications where progressive braking is required. Without any power applied, the shaft is locked in compliance with all existing safety laws and standards. The direct current brake is a single friction face brake with maximum reduced noise level and maximum STANDARD FEATURES safety standards. The brake works because of the force exerted by the springs. By taking the electromagnet-supply...

Speed Range Inverter Drive The Low Center Motors are manufactured by means of advanced technology and high quality material. They are suitable for inverter applications. Using angular contact ball bearings makes the Low Center Motors especially applicable to applications with axial loads and applications that require highspeeds. The nominal torque of a self ventilated motor with inverter is lower at low frequency and at high frequency. It is lower at low frequency for thermal reasons due to fan's lower speed. It is lower at high frequency for electrical reasons due to the de-fluxing. The diagram...
