The FOtemp1-OEM fiber optic thermometer is designed for environments where traditional electric temperature sensors are ineffective, such as microwave and high-frequency fields. It is compact, allowing for easy integration into existing systems. The device supports real-time data acquisition through standard analog output and RS-232 communication, and can be controlled via the "FOtemp-Assistant" software. The system status is indicated by an LED on the device.

The sensors are made with a Teflon outer jacket and a GaAs-crystal tip, ensuring non-conductivity and immunity to RF and microwave radiation. They are suitable for harsh and corrosive environments, including microwave or drying ovens. The device uses a light source and spectral detection for fast and reproducible measurements.
