Indicator fuel volume Omnicomm LLD - 1

OMNICOMM LLD FUEL LEVEL INDICATOR The Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator is installed in the vehicle cab. It displays the current level of remaining fuel in the first tank, the second tank, or both tanks. Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator receives readouts from Omnicomm LLS digital fuel level sensors via EIA-485. One or two LLS 30160 or LLS 20230 fuel level sensors can be connected to the indicator simultaneously. The Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator offers a quick and reliable way to determine the level of fuel in the tank. This information can be helpful in a number of cases: • When the driver starts or finishes a shift • To help the driver monitor the refueling process • On completing a job assignment, to calculate the amount of fuel consumed A regular fuel level indicator on the vehicle dashboard often malfunctions or is altogether out of order. Even when it does work, the regular indicator accuracy is within 15%, which is hardly reliable. Worse still, many drivers determine the fuel volume using a measuring ruler, getting an extremely inaccurate reading in the process. Operating principle The display panel is installed in the vehicle cab. Prior to installation, calibration tables created during fuel tank calibration are loaded into the device memory. Once the Omnicomm LLD display has been installed, one or two Omnicomm LLS 30160 or Omnicomm LLS 20230 fuel level sensors are connected to it along with power supply wires. The display supports 3 brightness levels and 3 display modes: fuel level from the first sensor, from the second sensor, and totalized level from two sensors. Assignment The Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator can be used with GLONASS/GPS fleet management systems by various vendors. It can be also used separately from fleet management systems, along with Omnicomm LLS fuel level sensors only. Using the fuel level indicator with the Omnicomm fuel level sensors is the most cost-effective solution. This solution is almost twice cheaper than using the Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator with other vehicle management systems. Application • Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator can be used with any types of vehicles, construction machinery and storage tanks. • Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator shows stable readouts in a wide temperature range: from -40°C to +70°C. • Measurements by the Omnicomm LLS fuel level sensor are accurate to within 1% from the full scale, and level readouts by the Omnicomm LLD fuel level indicator are accurate to within one liter. • It takes less than 1 hour to install and configure the display. The display uses proprietary software developed by Omnicomm.
