Technical Specifications
The TAC series activated carbon towers are designed for separating oil vapors from compressed air using a dry type separation method. The towers are constructed from high-quality carbon steel and filled with activated carbon granulate. They feature flow distributors to ensure uniform air distribution through the carbon bed. The operating pressure range is 0-16 bar, and the temperature range is 1.5 to 45°C. High-pressure versions are available upon request.

Filter Specifications
The TACm and TAC models vary in size, pipe size, operating pressure, flow rate, dimensions, and mass. The flow rate at 7 bar(g) and 20°C ranges from 6 Nm3/h to 2800 Nm3/h, depending on the model. The pressure drop for a new element is 20 mbar (0.29 psi), and the residual oil vapor content is less than 0.003 mg/m3.

Correction Factors
Correction factors are provided for different operating pressures and temperatures. For pressures ranging from 2 to 16 bar, the correction factors range from 0.38 to 2.13. For temperatures from 20°C to 60°C, the correction factors range from 1 to 0.60.

Maintenance and Recommendations
Activated carbon should be replaced every 12 months or sooner if necessary. It is recommended to check the residual oil content monthly using an oil indicator. A super fine coalescing filter is required upstream, and a 1 μm dust filter is recommended downstream to capture activated carbon dust.
