Oltremare introduces its latest innovation in the cashew nut processing: the FALKO 6006 automatic grading machine. The grading of the cashew kernels is presently done in all the origins by hand according to the AFI, the Indian and the Brazilian specifications. Such specifications foresee a grade based on the weight of the kernels say 320 units in one pound, 240 and so on. As this is done manually, the grading turns out to be done on the basis of the visual ability of the operators who estimates “by eye” the weight of the kernels.
