SLIP-IN CARTRIDGE INSERT VALVES & OPERATORS

Product catalog summary
Introduction & Features
The document introduces slip-in cartridge insert valves and operators by Oilgear Towler, S.A., highlighting their ability to operate at 350 bar service and availability in sizes from DIN 016 to DIN 100. These valves can perform multiple functions such as check valve, flow control, pressure regulating, directional control, decompression control, and special combinations. They are compact, interchangeable, and handle high flow rates efficiently.

Insert Construction Features
The valves are designed for low pressure drop and fast response, featuring a poppet type seat to minimize leakage. They are available with or without a throttling nose, and various plunger area ratios and springs are offered to provide different functions and cracking pressures.

Operator Features
Operators for insert valves are interchangeable and include test stations and orifices in operator heads. Various control valve operator heads are available.

Operation of Slip-In Cartridge Insert Valves
The operation involves force balances on three areas: AA, AB, and AW, with valve plunger ratios (1:1, 1:1.5, 1:2) for applications like pressure regulation and directional control.

Cartridge Specifications
Specifications for different cartridge types (PE-A, SE-A, SE-B) are provided, with graphs showing flow versus pressure drop for various sizes.

How to Order Slip-In Cartridge Insert Assemblies
The document details the ordering process, including application, O-ring material, design, size, plunger area ratios, series, and plunger type.

Dimension for Inserting Cartridge Valve
Installation dimensions for sizes 016 through 100 are provided, including cavity bore, port, and thread size.

Accessories
Details on spacers, seal kits, and springs for different cartridge types are included, along with their respective codes.

Standard Operators
Various operator types are listed, including plain operators, operators with stroke limiters, and operators for use with pilot valves.
Overview
This document provides detailed specifications and installation dimensions for various types of operators used with cartridge insert valves, including dual check operators, pressure limiters, and shuttle check valves. It guides the installation and configuration of these components for different valve sizes.

Specifications
Dimensions for valve sizes ranging from 016 to 100 mm are listed, including critical dimensions like B, B1, B2, D5, D6, D10, D11, H1, H2, H3, M1, M3, M5, and P3, ensuring proper fit and function.

Procedures
Installation instructions for each operator type (E, F, G, H, K, L, and M) are provided, emphasizing correct alignment and secure mounting.

Norms and Recommendations
The document advises on using optional pilot valves and consulting the manufacturer's catalog for specific dimensions. It highlights the need to plug certain ports when others are in use to ensure proper operation.

Key Data from Tables
Tables provide a comprehensive list of dimensions for each valve size and operator type, including measurements for mounting screws, port sizes, and other critical dimensions.

Critical Information
The document emphasizes using correct plug sizes for ports and installing orifices in specific ports to control the shifting rate of the cartridge plunger. It suggests cutting the adjustment screw to prevent accidental locking of the valve in the closed position.

OPERATOR W/STROKE LIMITER-TYPE “B” And adjustment screw limits the travel of a floating pin which in turn limits the amount the plunger can open. Thus, it results in (adjustable) throttling of flow through the insert valve. For fine adjustment, it is suggested a cartridge plunger with a cushion nose be used. It is suggested the adjustment screw be cut off at a length corresponding to minimum derived flow to prevent accidentally locking the valve in the closed position. INSTALLING ORIFICE IN PORT “W” WILL CONTROL CARTRIDGE PLUNGER SHIFTING GRAPHIC SYMBOL OPERATOR HEAD SHOWN WITH INSERT VALVE....
