MaxWool 3000 Blanket Product Description Physical Properties: MaxWool® 3000 Blanket MaxWool® 3000 Blanket is an insulation produced from polycrystalline fibers that are needled for strength, providing a product that has exceptional performance at very high temperatures. MaxWool 3000 Blanket exhibits almost no shrinkage and excellent insulating properties up to its rated maximum use temperature of 1600°C (2912°F). Produced with a mullite chemistry (72% Al2O3; 28% SiO2), MaxWool 3000 Blanket is thermally Density Color Maximum Service Temperature Chemical Composition Mineral Composition Fiber Diameter Shot Content Shrinkage @ 1400°C (2552°F) Shrinkage @ 1500°C (2732°F) stable at elevated temperatures, and should be considered for use in applications above the temperature rating of ceramic fiber blankets. Typical applications for include furnace doors, roofs and panels, ladle covers, as well as any area that requires insulation up to 1600°C (2912°F) in industries such as steel, forging, ceramics, hydrocarbon processing, power generation, aluminum and others. MaxWool 3000 Blanket allows for very low thermal conductivity compared Standard Product Availability (one roll per carton) resulting in drastically reduced energy consumption, lower furnace maintenance costs and increased productivity.
