Product catalog summary

Overview: The NuPULSE™ picosecond fiber laser by Nufern offers a tunable pulse duration ranging from 750 picoseconds to 100 nanoseconds and repetition rates from 20 kHz to 5 MHz. This combination allows for high-speed, permanent black marking on various metals and supports high-precision marking and cold-processing micromachining applications, such as Li-Ion battery foil cutting.

Optical Benefits: The laser features a picosecond pulse width for cold processing across a wide range of materials, continuously tunable pulse width for application optimization, single-mode beam quality for ultra-fine marks, and a high repetition rate of 5 MHz for maximum production throughput.

Mechanical Benefits: The laser is designed as a compact MOPA fiber laser with a rugged air-cooled design for cost-effective and reliable operation. It includes a durable fiber delivery cable and an E-Shutter for safety compliance.

Electrical Benefits: The laser operates with an industry-standard digital interface, allowing selectable pulse duration, frequency, and power. It runs on a 24V power supply and offers a convenient Ethernet interface for remote monitoring.

Design and Safety: The laser is compact and integrates easily with a 2.0-meter umbilical, integrated isolator, and beam expander. It emits invisible laser radiation, requiring precautions to avoid exposure to direct or scattered radiation.

Applications: Typical applications include marking, engraving, etching, trimming, and micro-machining.

Intellectual Property: The product may be subject to patents owned or licensed by Nufern. Use or modification may require additional licensing.

NuPULSE-1

20W Industrial Picosecond Fiber Laser The NuPULSE™ picosecond fiber laser from Nufern has a continuously tunable pulse duration from 750 ps to 100 ns and repetition rates from 20 kHz up to 5 MHz. The short pulse duration and high repetition rates combine to give high speed, permanent black marking on a variety of metals. The single mode beam quality and picosecond pulses open up a variety of high-precision marking and cold-processing micromachining applications such as Li-Ion battery foil cutting. The NuPULSE provides all these features in a compact and easy to integrate package with a 2.0 meter umbilical and integrated isolator and beam expander. The laser is completely controlled via an industry standard digital interface with optional DB25 or RS-232. OPTICAL FIBERS FIBER GYRO COILS
