NuBEAM 100

Product catalog summary
Overview: Nufern's NuBEAM 100 µm Core Beam Delivery Fibers are specialty multimode step-index fibers designed for compatibility with most fiber interconnect and diode laser power delivery systems. These fibers feature a 100 micron core diameter and a numerical aperture (NA) of 0.22, available in various clad diameters with silicone coating and transparent nylon buffer.
Applications: These fibers are typically used in fiber-coupled diode lasers, couplers and pump combiners, beam delivery cables, and spectroscopy and instrumentation.
Features & Benefits: The fibers offer a robust industry-standard design, exceptional geometric uniformity, and core/clad concentricity for ease of assembly. They are manufactured in a clean room to eliminate coating hot spots and have a pure silica core for high resistance to optical damage.
Optical Specifications: The fibers operate within a wavelength range of 800 – 2100 nm with a core NA of 0.220 ± 0.020. They have a low OH level, indicating low hydroxyl content for reduced attenuation.
Geometrical & Mechanical Specifications: The fibers are available in three configurations with varying cladding and buffer diameters. The first cladding diameter ranges from 123.5 ± 3.5 µm to 134.0 ± 4.0 µm, and the second cladding diameter ranges from 367.5 ± 7.5 µm to 672.5 ± 12.5 µm. The core diameter is consistently 102.0 ± 2.0 µm across all configurations. The fibers have a short-term bend radius of ≥ 18 mm to ≥ 66 mm and a long-term bend radius of ≥ 54 mm to ≥ 198 mm. The prooftest level is ≥ 100 kpsi (0.7 GN/m²).
Buffer Requirements: The fibers use a silicone primary buffer and a transparent nylon outer buffer. They feature a low OH core and depressed cladding with a pure silica core.
