Specifications:

Tap sizes in brackets are intended for light tapping only and are based on the old JIS standard.
Tap adapter with a safety torque clutch is not compatible.
Tap adapter is sold separately, as referenced on pages 131 to 134.

Procedures:

For tapping, the approach length (L1) should be 13mm or more.
Cutting depth is denoted as L2.
Dwell time is calculated using the formula: (Dwell time in seconds) = (Tension F2) / (Tap pitch × Rotation per minute).

Usage Instructions:

Rapid feed from the approach point.
Engage tapping by pitch.
Stop feed.
Ensure spindle rotation exceeds tap self-feed (Dwell).
Stop spindle and reverse direction.
Back feed.

For auto depth control (e.g., blind holes, tapered screws):

Rapid feed from the approach point.
Engage tapping by pitch.
Stop spindle and reverse direction.
Back feed.
Quick return.

Without auto depth control (e.g., through holes), use TP3B as a conventional tapping chuck.

Key Parameters:

Effective depth and incomplete thread depth are critical for ensuring proper threading.
