HDC COLLET CHUCKS / HDC-A

Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and operational guidelines for the High Precision Type HDC A tool holder, which is designed for high-speed cutting with high balance quality. It includes details on tool length adjustment, torque recommendations, and coolant management.
Specifications:
  • Sealing: The tool holder is completely sealed by short slotting to prevent coolant leakage and protect ball bearings.
  • Tool Length Adjustment: A preset screw is included for adjusting tool length. Rotating the tool clockwise shortens the length, while counterclockwise extends it.
  • Torque Recommendations: Different holder sizes require specific spanner sizes and recommended torque values ranging from 22-44 lbf-ft (266-531 lbf-in).
Components:
  • High Precision Trio: Includes a high precision holder, collet, and nut designed for high-speed cutting.
  • Symmetrical Design: The HDC collet chucks feature a symmetrical ground design for rigidity and a wide chucking range.
Coolant Management:
  • FDC Collets: Designed for coolant supply with a maximum of 8,000 rpm and 870 psi coolant pressure.
  • Coolant Types: FDC-OH type for cutters with oil holes and FDC-C type for cutters without oil holes, both ensuring effective coolant flow.
Ordering Information: The document includes various part numbers and ordering examples for different configurations, with collets and spanner wrenches sold separately.

HDC COLLET CHUCKS / HDC-A-1

NT’s HDC collet chucks uses a symmetrical ground design to produce the best all around chuck available. HDC collet chucks symmetrical design, and wide chucking range (5 different size chucking series) make it rigid enough to mill and drill with. Coolant through the tool applications can also be addressed with the addition of a FDC coolant collet. HDC A High precision type Tool length adjustment Preset screw is included in the holder.
