Overview
The SpydIR®-R is an advanced infrared sorting system designed to separate various polymers, fibers, or plastic films from other materials. It utilizes proprietary technology and sensitive algorithms to identify unique material signatures through their infrared spectra. A key feature is the patented PET Boost™ technology, which enhances the detection of thin-wall, wet, and full-sleeve labeled PET. Technology
The system uses Near-Infrared (NIR) technology for identifying multiple polymer types. It features a user-friendly color touch-screen graphic control panel and is capable of sorting plastics labeled 1-7 in any combination. The system can separate WEEE plastics into user-defined polymer groups and recover clean PET products from polymer residue streams. It identifies polymers such as PVC, PS, PETG, PLA, PC, PE, PP, and others, and can recover wood products from C&D streams. Additionally, it sorts Tetra Pak®, aseptic, and PE-coated gabled products from container streams and removes cardboard, paper, and other fibers.

SpydIR®-R offers unmatched purity and hit rates with its In-Flight Sorting® technology. It boasts an industry-leading signal-to-noise ratio, ideal for thin-wall PET, and high-speed identification with throughput rates exceeding 16,000 lb/hr. The system supports remote diagnostics, adjustments, and upgrades, and is available in width sizes ranging from 36" to 120".
