8000 Series, Blast Furnace Top Gas Analyzer

8000 Series, Blast Furnace Top Gas Analyzer

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Nova 8000 Series Blast Furnace Top Gas Analyzer is designed for continuous monitoring of gases such as O2, CO, CO2, and H2 in industrial processes, particularly in blast furnaces. It provides critical data on gas concentrations and calculates values like BTU, N2, and efficiency.
Models: The series includes several models: 8002 (CO and CO2), 8003 (H2, CO, and CO2 with H2 compensation), 8004 (H2, O2, CO, and CO2 with H2 compensation), and 8006 (includes N2, BTU, and efficiency calculations). Additional gases like CH4, SO2, NO, and NO2 can also be measured.
System Components: The analyzer consists of a heated filter cabinet, a sample conditioning system, and gas analysis sensors. These components ensure accurate and reliable gas monitoring.
Sample Conditioning: Features include a high-capacity sample pump, moisture removal system, redundant heated filters, and automatic blowback of filters and probes. These features enhance system response time and reduce downtime.
Gas Analyzer Features: The analyzer uses high-accuracy detectors with hydrogen compensation, including NDIR detectors for CO and CO2, an electrochemical sensor for O2, and a thermal conductivity cell for H2. Sensors are mounted in a temperature-controlled rack to minimize drift.
User Interface: The system includes a large graphical touch screen, auto calibration, Ethernet and 4-20mA outputs, diagnostic alarms, and maintenance alerts. It allows for easy calibration and troubleshooting.
Specifications: The analyzer offers various detection methods and ranges, with high accuracy and repeatability. It operates within a temperature range of 32-122 ºF (0-50°C), extendable to -5°F (-20°C) with a cold weather package. It provides Ethernet and 4-20 mA outputs for data collection.
Customization: Nova Analytical Systems offers customization options for specific applications, accommodating other gas ranges and requirements.

8000 Series, Blast Furnace Top Gas Analyzer-1

8000 SERIES BLAST FURNACE TOP GAS ANALYZER Applications Designed for the continuous monitoring of O2, CO, CO2, and/or H2 gases from blast furnaces or other continuous industrial processes where an uninterrupted stream of gas concentration data is critical. Calculated values of BTU, N2 and efficiency are also available. Description The Nova 8000 series has been designed for the continuous monitoring of pre-cleaned gases from a blast furnace or other high intensity, continuous industrial processes. The analyzer measures up to four gases simultaneously - O2, CO, CO2, and H2, the ranges of which are shown below. From these readings, other operating parameters such as nitrogen content, BTU and efficiency can be calculated and displayed. The analyzer consists of three main components: a heated filter cabinet which is directly mounted on the side of the blast furnace gas main, a sample conditioning system which is integral to the main analyzer cabinet, and the gas analysis sensors which are mounted in a separate but integral rack mount drawer, which eases service and maintenance. 7240 Heated Stack Sample Filter • 8002 - CO and CO2 • 8003 - H2, CO, and CO2 with H2 compensation • 8004 - H2, O2, CO, and CO2 with H2 compensation • 8006 - 8004 gases + N2, BTU and efficiency calculation • Other gases can be included as part of this platform, including CH4, SO2, NO, and NO2 in % or PPM ranges. Options • Cabinet purge system for use in dusty or hazardous locations • Cold weather package for operation to -5°F (-20°C) • Cabinet coolers can be fitted to most models 8000 Series Blast Furnace Top Gas Analyzer
