Product catalog summary
Applications
The Nova 425 Series Thermal Conductivity Analyzer is designed for continuous analysis of binary gas mixtures, including H2, CO2, O2, CH4, SO2, Ar, He, NH3, SF6, and air. It is suitable for various applications such as heat treating atmospheres, welding gas mixtures, ammonia synthesis, leak detection, and flue gas analysis.
Features
The analyzer offers high/low gas, low flow, and diagnostic alarms, with outputs available in 4-20mA, RS232, RS485, MODBUS®, and Ethernet. It includes a cabinet purge system for hazardous areas, automatic calibration with a touch screen LCD, and a cold weather package for operation down to -5°F (-20°C). The modular layout is easy to maintain, and the device includes a built-in sample pump or pressure regulator.
Calibration
Calibration involves using air or nitrogen for zero and an analyzed calibration gas for span. The analyzer features a bright digital readout and is more cost-effective than infrared, GC, or mass spectrometer methods.
Specifications
The analyzer uses an RTD-based TC cell to measure binary gas mixtures. It offers ranges from 0-2.0% to 0-100.0%, with a resolution of 0.1% of the gas to be measured. Accuracy is ±1-2% of full scale, with a response time of 10-15 seconds to 90% step change. It operates within an ambient temperature range of 32-122°F (0-50°C), with options for lower temperatures.
Models
Various models are available, including wall-mounted and rack-mounted options, with explosion-proof enclosures for hazardous environments. Custom analyzers can be built to meet specific needs.
Contact Information
Nova Analytical Systems is located in Niagara Falls, NY, USA, and Hamilton, ON, Canada. Contact details include phone numbers and email addresses for sales inquiries.

425 Series-2

DESCRIPTION The Nova 425 Thermalconductivity (TC) Analyzer has many applications in industry where the measurement of one gas in a two gas or some multi-gas mixtures is required. The Nova TC cell is temperature controlled and its high stability enables it to be used even in high purity measurements. Since the TC cell does not consume the sample, have any moving parts, hot wires, or sealed chemicals, it will last for many years. In operation, the TC cell detects the rate at which the sample gas conducts heat away from a heated Resistance Temperature Device (RTD) with reference to a similar heated...
