Product catalog summary
Overview: The Nova Analytical Systems 4000 Series Portable Engine Exhaust Analyzers are designed for measuring exhaust emissions from gasoline-powered 2 and 4 cycle engines. They analyze carbon monoxide (CO), hydrocarbons (HCs), carbon dioxide (CO2), oxygen (O2), and nitric oxide (NO).
Key Features:
  • Utilizes solid-state infrared detectors for CO, CO2, and HCs, and a long-life electrochemical O2 sensor.
  • Includes a built-in data recorder and meets various international standards such as BAR-90, BAR-97, OIML Class 1 Gas, and Canada AirCare.
  • Rugged design with easy operation and maintenance, fast warm-up, and accurate response.
  • Offers options for separate LED readouts or a single LCD display, and can be powered from AC and automotive outlets.
  • Comes with a sample filter, flexible sample probe and hose, built-in sample pump, and condensate filter.
Applications: Suitable for checking engine exhaust emissions in various settings, including automotive and motorcycle exhaust measurement.
Options:
  • Analog outputs (0-1, 0-5, 0-10VDC) and digital output RS232 with custom protocol.
  • Built-in printer and software for PC connection.
  • Inductive tachometer pick-up and fittings for motorcycle exhaust measurement.
Models:
  • Model 4000: Features separate LED displays.
  • Model 4500: Features a single LCD display.
Specifications:
  • Detection Method: CO, CO2, and HC by infrared detector; NO and O2 by electrochemical sensor.
  • Available Ranges: 0-25.0% O2, 0-10.00% CO, 0-20.0% CO2, 0-10,000 PPM HC, 0-5,000 PPM NOx.
  • Resolution: 0.1% or 1% on % ranges, 0.01% on CO, 1 PPM on most PPM ranges.
  • Accuracy: ± 1% of full scale for O2, CO, CO2, and HCs; ± 2% for NO.

4000 series-2

DESCRIPTION The 4000 Series Portable Analyzers are designed for the simultaneous measurement of gases typically found in the exhaust from internal combustion engines. CO, CO2, and HC's are detected by a dual-wavelength infra red detector. The O2 and optional NO are detected by customer-replaceable electrochemical sensors. Depending on model, all detector outputs can be displayed on large separate LED meters, or on a single LCD display. The internal record feature allows data-logging of all measurements and upload of data to personal computer. Optional software allows remote display and additional...
