Gas portables are great for low-hour use on a job site. But for prime power you want the safety and long-life only a set powered by an 1800 rpm diesel engine can give. Designed for farm tractors, the 46 cubic inch diesel that powers a Northern Lights L673L3 has the low end torque needed to start big electric motors. Dependable too; the engine will last thousands of hours with just routine maintenance. It operates at 1800 rpm (1500 rpm for 50 hz), half the speed of light duty 3600 rpm sets. Half the wear and tear, too. > Meets US EPA Tier III emission standards for a cleaner environment. The built-in muf er reduces exhaust noise so well that an additional muf er is often not needed. Simpli es installation too. > Economical operation is a necessity in remote areas. The NL673L3 uses less than one half gallon of fuel per hour in normal use. Diesel is less expensive and safer to transport and store than volatile gasoline. > Cast iron exhaust manifold with intergral muf er. Օ Easy access oil ll in valve cover. Vibration isolated junction box has AC terminal strip, AC & DC circuit breakers, DC relays and automatic AC voltage regulator. Օ Tough, blue enamel paint. Vibration isolation mounts for smooth operation. Օ Spin-on oil and fuel lters. SAE housing for easy generator replacement. Օ Steel base frame is welded for strength. Large radiator. Steel radiator shroud and fan guard protects radiator and operator. Օ Self-venting fuel system with Bosch-type inline injection pump. High volume air lter with replaceable element protects engine. Օ Wire harness plug for extensions and multiple control panels. Northern Lights are easy to install, operate and maintain. Each has a self-venting fuel system, unit mounted control panel and is ready for connection to your electrical distribution system. Just add a battery and fuel, and you have power with a touch of the starter button. Service is easy, too. All the maintenance points are on one side. Low oil pressure and high coolant temperature shutdowns protect your investment while you are away. > Your choice of 120-240 volt or straight 120 volt power. An auxiliary generator winding provides clean power to the automatic voltage regulator for faster load response and better motor starting. > Every NL673L3 has been fully load tested before shipment. This is part of a quality control program that assures your satisfaction and years of service. > Let them explain the bene ts of owning a Northern Lights and show you the options available to customize the set to meet your special power requirements. > 12 volt DC starter and battery charging alternator. size="-1">
