VeriTec VT44 Series Adhesive Dispensing Electric Guns Cold adhesive electric guns combine rapid cycle speeds and multi-module flexibility for dispensing complex patterns in high-speed non-contact applications. Nordson’s VeriTec™ brand VT44 Series electric guns feature compact size and multi-module capability for precise delivery of cold adhesive extrusion dots. These guns are ideal for high-speed non-contact converting applications that require consistent placement of complex patterns at exceptionally high cycle rates. VT44 Series guns offer cycle rates as high as 800 cycles per second with a duration as low as 4 milliseconds. This capability equates to dot placement at 2-millimeter distances for production speeds up to 96 meters per minute (314 ft/min). VT44 guns accurately dispense cold adhesives with viscosities up to 1000 centipoise when used with a Nordson diaphragm pump or WM360 high-performance piston pump. Consistent adhesive delivery of a broad viscosity range allows manufacturers to handle a wide variety of substrates and bonding requirements. A ball-plunger and cone assembly provides clean adhesive cut-off of high viscosity adhesives. This design provides reliable adhesive flow control and permits flexible gun mounting at distances 6 to 10 millimeters away from the substrate. Efficient design permits complex patterns and dependable performance in high-volume production. s Selection of designs is available in single or multiple groupings of 4, 6, 8, 12 and 16 modules on a single manifold with close centerlines of 14 mm (0.55 in.). s All-electric operation and wide viscosity range satisfy diverse application requirements for high-speed extrusion dot patterns. s Multiple gun configurations allow complex pattern arrangements to satisfy exacting requirements. s Automatic tip sealer prevents adhesive skinning over the nozzle during dwell times. s Clean adhesive cut-off minimizes adhesive tailing to improve bonding quality and reduce rejects. s Compact size and choice of mounting profiles allow double rows of gun manifolds from a common glue feed to meet specific pattern arrangements. s Optional front or top hydraulic porting accommodates specific mounting constraints. s Corrosion-resistant and stainless steel parts provide durability and help prolong gun life. s Custom-designed bracketry adapts to each parent machine’s unique mounting requirements.
