Product catalog summary
Overview: The Series E-350 Electric Guns are compact, modular electric guns designed for hot melt packaging applications, offering reliable performance and flexibility for multiple-bead patterns. They are suitable for case sealing and cartoning, complementing the Nordson Series 700 electric gun family.
Specifications: The E-350 guns operate at speeds up to 1200 cycles per minute with a minimum duration of 8 milliseconds. They can handle a maximum working hydraulic pressure of 1200 psi and a working viscosity of up to 1500 cps. The operating temperature ranges from 350°F to a maximum of 375°F. Electrical service requirements are 220-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz.
Design and Features: The guns feature a modular design with close one-inch module centerlines, allowing for pattern flexibility and fitting into tight machine constraints. They offer single and multi-module configurations, with options for two, three, four, and eight-module guns. The design includes a potted high-temperature coil, solenoid-grade stainless-steel plunger, and a wear-resistant ball and seat, contributing to a service life exceeding 300 million cycles.
Performance and Maintenance: The E-350 guns are designed to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, with no dynamic seals and quick electrical disconnects for easy installation and servicing. The Series 700 driver provides precise pattern control and protects the coil from short circuits. Optional internal filters reduce nozzle clogs, and a waterwash version is available for food and beverage operations.
Limitations: Performance may be affected by higher viscosity adhesives, with a maximum recommended viscosity of 1000 cps for optimal performance. Continuous operation at maximum temperature should not exceed 900 cpm and a 50% duty cycle to extend service life.
Conclusion: The Series E-350 Electric Guns offer a robust solution for mainstream packaging applications, providing precise adhesive placement and extended service life, thereby reducing maintenance costs and downtime.

Series E-350 Electric Guns Compact, modular electric guns deliver reliable performance and maximize multiple-bead flexibility for mainstream hot melt packaging applications. New Series E-350 Electric Guns provide rugged performance in a compact size. The modular guns feature close one-inch module centerlines to handle the diverse hot melt pattern requirements of case sealing and cartoning. A complement to the Nordson® Series 700 electric gun family, E-350 electric guns stand up to demanding production conditions while maximizing productivity. To assure consistent deposition, the E-350 Series operates at speeds up to 1200 cycles per minute with a duration as low as 8 milliseconds. Guns work in combination with a Series 700 driver to provide precise pattern control and consistent sealing results. The efficient gun design permits a small working envelope for multimodule capability in a choice of profiles to fit tight parent machine constraints. Single and multi-module configurations allow pattern flexibility for a range of mainstream packaging applications. The service life can exceed 300 million cycles, which helps minimize downtime and reduce maintenance.* Durable E-350 guns feature a potted high-temperature coil, no dynamic seals, solenoid-grade stainless-steel plunger and a wear-resistant ball and seat. Efficient design increases packaging line productivity. Two, three, four and eightmodule guns are available with or without filtered bodies. For case sealers or cartoners with short compression sections, low-profile designs come with two, four or eight modules. A wide range of precision nozzles in straight and right-angle designs, with fixed or optional engagements, produces accurate patterns and clean cut-off. Wide flange design of the module provides positive heat transfer to the nozzle tip. Optional internal filters help reduce nozzle clogs and simplify cleaning. Optional waterwash version accommodates washdown food and beverage operations. *Note: Performance will be affected by higher viscosity adhesives. Maximum recommended viscosity is 1000 cps for optimum performance. Higher viscosities can slow cycle rate and minimum duration and shorten service life. Continuous operation at maximum temperature should not exceed 900 cpm and a 50 percent duty cycle for extended service life. Higher cycle rates will reduce service life.
