Series 700 Electric Guns Series 700 Electric Guns minimize downtime and maintenance costs, reduce nozzle clogs and increase overall packaging line productivity. The Nordson® Series 700 Electric Gun family includes the unibody E-700 Electric Gun, the multimodule M-700 Modular Electric Gun and the Series 700 Electric Gun Driver. Nordson manufactures the Series 700 Electric Guns to maximize reliability and durability. Service life exceeds 500M cycles due to the potted, high-temperature coil, the no dynamic seal design, the solenoidgrade stainless steel plunger and the carbide ball and seat. The E-700 and the modular M-700 electric guns accurately dispense hot melt adhesives at speeds in excess of 5000 cycles per minute. Durations as low as two milliseconds are possible with high repeat cycle accuracy.* The removable modules of the M-700 Electric Gun permit custom pattern spacing. Centerline spacing down to two inches meets many application requirements. Precision multi-orifice domed nozzles, multi-bead nozzles and custom pattern plates help meet closer pattern requirements when needed. The Series 700 modules feature a wide flange designed to provide positive heat transfer to the nozzle tip. Nordson controls and new precision 232XXX series nozzles produce accurate patterns and clean cutoff. Each E-700 gun and M-700 module is coated with a unique thermal insulating material which provides a hard, durable release surface for easy cleaning and long service life. The flow-through design eliminates adhesive dead spots to reduce char and nozzle clogging. Many customers report no nozzle clogs over several years using this design. Advanced-technology gun delivers precise, repeatable deposition. High cycle rates work in concert with short minimum durations to provide precise pattern control for all applications. The Series 700 electric gun works in combination with Series 700 driver and timers to deliver precise beads or dots consistently over the life of the product. User-friendly design simplifies daily use and reduces maintenance. Modular Series 700 electric gun easily produces demanding multiple patterns, reduces system complexity and minimizes maintenance. The Series 700 guns use no dynamic seals, extending life while reducing maintenance and downtime. Efficient internal filters are available on the single and multiple module designs to reduce nozzle clogging and simplify cleaning. Electrical quick-disconnects on the E-700 and M-700 speed installation and servicing. Optional water-wash design permits operation in beverage or food applications requiring washdown. * Note: Cycle rates above 3000 / minute or durations below two milliseconds require special equipment settings and will reduce total module life.
