The TRUCK-LOCK® Series enhances safety with strength, convenience, and reliability. The ATL-500 secures trucks at loading docks by engaging the rear impact guard with a large barrier. The housing/barrier combination is stored down, protecting parts from weather and debris. A sensor provides positive communication of engagement. The HYDRA-FLOAT™ barrier adjusts to truck heights and maintains position during loading. Operation is simple with a push button, and the barrier stores at 9 inches, raising to 30 inches to restrain rear impact guards.

Features a structural welded assembly with dual reinforced 1/2-inch steel restraining arms and enclosure panel. The housing protects components from weather, dirt, and debris. Dual 1/2-inch steel reinforced vertical track welded to a 3/8-inch thick wall mounting plate. All structural components are zinc-plated for corrosion resistance. The barrier has black and yellow warning labels. The control panel includes a power unit and solid-state controls in a NEMA 12 enclosure with push buttons, alarm, operating instructions, and communication lights. Power requirement is 120VAC, 3 amps.

The trailer backs into position at the dock, the driver sets brakes and chocks wheels. The dock attendant activates the barrier, which rises to contact the rear impact guard, securing the trailer. The barrier provides over 32,000 lbs. of restraining force, adjusting automatically during loading/unloading. An alarm sounds if the rear impact guard is not detected, with an override button to silence the alarm and provide a caution signal. The barrier is stored using the release button after loading/unloading.
