The Nordic ID Sampo family is a product line of high performance and multi usable RFID readers. The readers are designed to fill the needs of the areas of point-of-sales, document tracking, access control, tag programming stations, smart shelves as well as smart displays and inventory management. The reading range of the Nordic ID Sampo readers can be adjusted from a few centimeters up to 7-8 meters. This, together with the versatile reading settings, makes Nordic ID Sampo S1 suitable for a vast number of applications. Together with the Nordic ID mobile computers the Nordic ID Sampo family provides a complete RFID hardware solution for all purposes. The device meets the needs of a global organisation through its EPC Class 1 Gen 2 with multi-regional frequency and DRM support. In addition to the LED indicators the device is also equipped with a buzzer as well as a light sensor and a tapping sensor. The optional near-field antenna with a reading distance from 0 to 20 cm, is an excellent choice for item level inventory that can be performed faster and with more accurate results. With the GPIO port, the reader functions can be controlled by external switches and triggers, and the surrounding environment e.g. gates, can be controlled by the reader. With the Nordic ID Sampo the retail environment has a champion performer that optimizes intuitive use with flat and sleek design.
