Specifications:
The Astra 1® street lighting lantern is designed to accommodate various lamp types including 70W HPS, 70W/100W MBI, 80W/125W MBF, and FLC 42W. It features a lamp compartment with an IP 65 rating and an electric compartment with an IP 23 rating. The body is constructed from die-cast aluminium, and the canopy is made from high-quality, impact and heat-resistant UV stabilized polycarbonate. The bowl is available in UV stabilized polycarbonate, offering vandal resistance, and can be flat or curved glass.

The Astra 1® is suitable for use in residential areas, car parks, and secondary traffic routes.

Construction:
The lantern's body is made of die-cast aluminium, and the canopy is constructed from UV stabilized polycarbonate. The bowl is reinforced to maintain gasket pressure and ensure sealing. The optics include a high purity one-piece aluminium reflector.

Electrical:
The control gear box includes a 3-way terminal block with high-temperature silicon insulated conductors. Electrical connections are facilitated by a plug and socket system.

Mechanical:
The design allows for easy installation and maintenance, with both post top and side entry options. The canopy and lamp compartment are hinged for easy access, and the gear tray can be removed without disturbing the lamp. The bowl or glass is secured with stainless steel clips.

Standards:
The design complies with IEC 598 - CEI 34-21 standards, with an aerodynamic resistance of 0.071 sq.m.
