The measurement system operates independent from mains power. Sensor and radio transmission system are powered by one high-performance Lithium battery featuring a very long lifetime (approx. 10 years typical). Detected readings are saved on flash memory and will be transmitted to the server-based Device to Web (D2W) Internet portal via GPRS using the built-in quad band modem. One of the main benefits of the system is the option to connect generally all 2-wire sensors by using the integrated terminal clamps.
