Product catalog summary
Overview: The document provides technical specifications and details for the Multi-Port Connection (Automatic) system, specifically the MALC-HSP Type designed for high-pressure hydraulic circuits. It highlights the system's ability to connect multiple lines simultaneously with minimal air admixture and fluid spillage.
Specifications:
  • Pressure Range: 21.0 to 25.0 MPa (214 to 255 kgf/cm²).
  • Valve Structure: Two-way shut-off with a special design to minimize air admixture.
  • Flow Rate: Approximately double the flow rates compared to conventional Multi Cuplas, allowing for smaller plate sizes.
  • Axial Eccentricity Allowance: 2 mm for MALC type, compared to 0.6 mm for conventional types.
  • Dynamic Pressure Connection: Socket and plug can connect under dynamic pressure up to 8 MPa.
  • Distance Between Plates: 30 mm for all sizes, allowing interchangeability.
  • Body Material: Special steel with autocatalytic nickel-phosphorus coating.
  • Sealing Material: Fluoro rubber (FKM, X-100) with a working temperature range of -20˚C to +180˚C.
Performance Characteristics:
  • Min. Cross-Sectional Area: Varies by model, from 26 mm² (1HSP) to 347 mm² (8HSP).
  • Interchangeability: Sockets and plugs of the same size can connect regardless of end configurations.
  • Suitability for Vacuum: Not suitable for vacuum applications.
  • Volume of Air Admixture: Varies by model, with specific values provided for each.
  • Flow Rate - Pressure Loss Characteristics: Detailed for each model, indicating pressure loss at various flow rates.
Mechanical Specifications:
  • Max. Tightening Torque: Varies by model, with specific values provided.
  • Load Required to Maintain Connection: Calculated based on pressure, with guidelines for minimum and maximum loads.
  • Volume of Spillage: Specific values provided for each model, indicating fluid loss per disconnection.
Design and Dimensions:
  • Acceptable Distance Between Socket and Plug: Maximum 0.5 mm.
  • Dimensions: Detailed for each model, including thread screw mount and flange types.
  • Mass: Provided for each model, indicating the weight in grams.
Usage Instructions: Users are advised to read the 'Safety Guide' and 'Instruction Sheet' provided with the products before use.

Multi Cupla MALC-HSP-1

Max. Tightening Torque_Nm {kgf-cm} For Multi-Port Connection (Automatic) Multi Cupla MALC-HSP Type Low spill type for high pressure use Working pressure Valve structure Applicable fluids A single operation enables simultaneous connections of multiple lines. A special design minimises air admixture in fluid lines upon connection. Suitable for high pressure hydraulic circuits. • Compared with conventional Multi Cuplas, approximately double flow rates are realized. This could reduce the size of required plates. (Rate of flow increase depends on Cupla sizes.) • The MALC type realizes a 2 mm axial eccentricity allowance, while the conventional Multi Cupla is only 0.6 mm. • Special valve design enables connection of socket and plug under dynamic pressure of up to 8 MPa. • When connected, the distance between the socket plate and plug plate is designed to be 30 mm for all sizes. This means any size of Cupla can be mounted and used on the same plate. • Low spill valves minimize outflow of fluid and admixture of air into the fluid line. MALC-HSP (Thread screw mount) type (Plug) Socket and plug in the same size can be connected regardless of their end configurations. * Assign the actual value of pressure [P (MPa), p (kgf/cm2)] to the above formula to calculate the load. Maintain the connection with the minimum load or more, but not more than the maximum acceptable load. Flow Rate - Pressure Loss Characteristics MALC-HSP (Flange) type
