TOLCO’s new Copper-Tec™ epoxy finish meets MSS requirements. It provides a better level of protection than traditional copper-plated finishes because it acts as a protective barrier between metal pipe and hangers. The pipe hanger industry has recognized the superior performance of epoxy coating over traditional copper coating of hangers for copper tube. The Manufacturers Standardization Society (MSS) has required copper plating for identification purposes and recognizes the need to separate dissimilar metals to prevent a galvanic reaction which causes rapid corrosion to piping systems and hangers.
