This document provides detailed cutting parameters for various materials based on their hardness. The parameters include Surface Feet per Minute (SFM) and Inches Per Tooth (IPT) for different tool diameters ranging from 1/8 to 1 inch.
Materials Covered:
- Wrought Aluminum Alloy: Includes alloys like 2014, 5052, 6061, 7050, 7075, and 7475 with hardness less than and greater than 120 HBS.
- Cast Aluminum Alloy: Covers alloys such as 319, 328, 355, 360, 380, 383, 390, 520, and 535.
- Copper/Brass: Includes C10100-C15999 and C20000-C49999 with hardness less than 75 HRB and between 75-98 HRB.
- Carbon Steel: Covers 10XX, 11XX, 122XX, 12LXX, ASTM A27, and ASTM A36 with varying hardness levels.
- Alloy Steel: Includes 12XX, 41XX, 43XX, 300M, 51XX, 86XX, 93XX with hardness ranging from 21-50 HRC.
- Tool Steel: Covers A2, H13, L6, P20 with hardness from 71-98 HRB to over 50 HRC.
