Installation Guidelines:

Ensure compressed air lines are properly sized to minimize pressure drop. Use at least ¼” pipe or 3/8" hose for supply line runs up to 10 feet, 3/8” pipe or ½” hose for runs up to 50 feet, and ½” pipe lines for longer runs. Avoid restrictive fittings like quick couplings.
All systems include a 5-micron filter with a float type auto drain. Use only automatic float type auto drains to prevent water flow into the system. If oil is present, use an oil removal filter with at least a .3 micron rating. Install filters within 10 to 15 feet of the cooling unit.
Panel coolers must be vertically mounted on a flat surface. The Frigid-X™ system installs through a 1-1/8" diameter hole in the enclosure. Contact the factory or distributor for correct system sizing.
A cold air distribution hose kit is provided to direct cold air to hot spots. Use at least 6 – 1/8" diameter holes in the tubing to minimize back pressure. The kit includes an extra muffler at the plugged end.

The numbers in the spaces _ _ indicate specific SCFM at 100 psig.

Operational Recommendations:

Close off vents or openings that may draw in ambient air to prevent condensation inside the control enclosure. Relocate external fans inside the enclosure to circulate cooled air.
Frigid-X™ enclosure coolers can run constantly or use on-off control with a thermostat and solenoid valve package. The thermostat is preset at 95ºF and can be reset as needed. The solenoid valve should be mounted between the water removal filter and the cooling unit.
