Overview
The Nex Flow™ Air Amplifier is designed for rugged applications, offering reduced compressed air consumption and noise levels. It utilizes a small volume of compressed air to generate a high velocity, high volume, low pressure output air flow, amplifying flows up to 20 times their input air consumption rate.
How It Works
Compressed air enters through a supply inlet into an annular chamber, then throttled by an annular gap, creating high velocity air that adheres to the Coanda profile. This directs the flow outward, creating a low-pressure area that draws in surrounding air, resulting in high volume, high velocity output flow.
Applications- Automotive: Removal of water, coolant, dust, and scrap; cooling paints.
- Bottling: Water blow-off from cans and bottles.
- Chemicals: Blow-off of chemicals or water.
- Food: Water removal from products or packaging.
- General Manufacturing: Part ejection, fume removal, dust and liquid blow-off.
- Metals: Coolant and liquid removal, drying, and cooling metal parts.
- Paper & Lumber: Sawdust and trim removal.
- Plastic: Dust and scrap blow-off, cooling moldings.
- Printing: Ink cooling and scrap blow-off.
- Pharmaceutical: Liquid removal and waste extraction.
- Textile: Scrap and trim removal.
Features- Made of Zinc alloy for strength and light weight.
- High airflow amplification.
- Instant ON/OFF with no moving parts, no electricity or explosion hazard.
Specifications
Available in five standard outlet diameters: 3/4" (19mm), 1-1/4” (31mm), 2" (51mm), 4" (101mm), and 8" (200mm). Comes with a standard .002" (.05mm) shim for the compressed air exit gap, adjustable with additional shims for greater force.
Benefits- Longer life in difficult environments.
- Lower compressed air consumption than ejectors and venturis.
- Maintenance-free with easily controlled output, safe to use.
Performance Ratios
Amplification ratios vary by model: AM10 (6.5), AM20 (14.0), AM40 (15.0), AM75 (17.0), AM125 (20.0).
Compressed Air Consumption
Consumption varies with pressure and model, ranging from 2.2 SCFM at 20 PSIG for AM10 to 152.0 SCFM at 120 PSIG for AM125.
Ducting
Both inlet and discharge ends can be ducted for conveying applications, with care to avoid restrictions that cause back pressure or suction resistance.
