This device is used in the paint and coating industries. Opera tor friendly Operating the Flow Timer is easy due to the 1-button interface. Cups The apparatus is designed for DIN, ISO, AFNOR & FORD cups, with or without the use of a thermal jacket. Other cups can be used with an adapter, which can be ordered separately. Please contact NeoTec for more information. Flow Timer test procedure First insert the appropriate cup, this can be any of the specified cups or insert the thermal jacket. Then either place the metal ball at the bottom of the cup to close the cup (see Figure 1) or use the glass plate after filling the cup with the liquid. Place a drain tray below the cup. Now press the button (see Figure 2) and remove the metal ball tool or glass plate, in order for the liquid to flow through the opening down to the drain tray. The timer will automatically keep track of the flow time and will show this on the display. Features The electronic Flow Timer has the following in-built functions: -sleep timer starts after 5 minutes of inactivity; -infrared fluid detector; -drop detection (< 2 seconds); -flow time comparison with previous measurement (press button again when activated); -0-199.9s @0.1s resolution; 200-999s @1s resolution. Cleaning Because the apparatus is used in an environment with paints and coatings the design took into account the following points: - Easily replaceable plastic cap on top of the button; - Easy to clean sensor and display due to protection glass cover; - Other parts can be easily cleaned with solvents. Efficiency The device is very efficient and can run up to 1 year of daily use on 4x1,5V batteries. Safety The Flow Timer is designed and built to meet current European CE regulations.

Display indications: The display can show the following indications: Points of interest The infrared sensor is sensitive to sunlight. Therefore, do not place the detector in direct sunlight. If overexposure takes place; the display will show the following indication [ : ]. The display indication [LOBAT] in the left upper corner indicates that the batteries should be replaced.
