Neue Herbold Pipe-Shredder

Product catalog summary
Overview: The Neue Herbold Shredder Type HZR 1300/4 is engineered for the efficient pre-cutting of thick-walled, high-impact pipes up to 1200 mm in diameter and 6 m in length, as well as start-up lumps. It is typically used in conjunction with a granulator for final size reduction, offering significant energy savings and tool longevity.
Specifications:
  • Working width: 1300 x 1350 mm
  • Length: 6500 mm
  • Drive feed station: 5.5 kW
  • Hydraulics: 4 kW
  • Number of shredder shafts: 4
  • Number of blades: 30
  • Number of stator blades: 1
  • Drive: 4 x 30 kW
Capacity: The shredder can process up to 3 tons per hour, depending on the pipe's impact resistance, wall thickness, and screen hole size.
Feeding Mechanism: Pipes are fed laterally into a feed trough in front of the shredder, with a load-control system automatically pushing the material towards the shredder shafts.
Construction: The housing is a solid welded steel construction, annealed and machined, with external supports for bearings, drives, gears, and couplings.
Cutting Tools: Features profiled rotor shafts and V-shaped blade supports. Blades are double-sided and include toothed stator blades.
Controls: Operated via Siemens SIMATIC S7 with a touch-screen panel.
Advantages: The two-step shredding and granulating process reduces energy costs by 20% to 50% and extends tool life, ensuring cost efficiency and high build quality.

EKXAKT 2012 Pipe Shredder HZR 1300-4 The Neue Herbold Shredder Type HZR 1300/4 is especially designed for the effective pre-cutting of thick-walled, high impact pipe up to a maximum of 1200 mm diameter, 6 m in length as well as for start-up lumps. In general the HZR is followed by a granulator for final size reduction of the material to a free flowing regrind. The benefit of the new HZR Shredder together with a second step granulator compared with a single step solution is that it will reduce energy costs by between 20% - 50%. Another advantage is the long lifetime of the tools. These two factors ensure that the HZR 1300/4 Shredder delivers very good cost efficiency together with quality of build. HZR 1300-4

Technical Data Working width Pipe Shredder Depending on the impact resistance and the wall thickness of the pipe as well as on the screen hole size. The capacity can reach up to 3 t/h with curling tools in good working condition. The pipes are laterally fed into the feed trough which is positioned in front of the shredder. The material is then automatically pushed towards the shredder shafts with a "load-contraI" system (a ram driven by a geared motor via a steel cable). Solid welded steel construction, annealed and manufactured with a machined finish, equipped with external supports for bearings,...
