DEM DUST EMISSION CONTROL

DEM DUST EMISSION CONTROL

DEM DUST EMISSION CONTROL

Product catalog summary
Introduction
The document describes the D.E.M. (Dust Emission Monitoring) device, which operates on the triboelectric principle. It measures dust emissions by detecting static electricity generated by airborne particles striking a probe, inducing a measurable current. The device is typically installed in chimneys downstream from dust filters.

Preventive Control Benefits
  • Potential derating of the fan located downstream of the dust collector, in compliance with the ATEX directive.
  • Ensures quality control of air reintroduced into work areas and buildings.
  • Allows monitoring of potential drift to anticipate failures, aligning with regulatory controls as of February 2, 1998.

Characteristics
  • Capable of spot measurements and/or average readings over a programmable period.
  • Alarm threshold adjustable from 0.01 to 50 mg/m3.
  • Access to settings is secured by a personal identification code.

Operating Principle
The D.E.M. continuously monitors, measures, and checks dust emissions from facilities. It includes features such as alarm relay thresholds, display of instantaneous or average emissions, control and settings options, and memory storage.

Model Specifications
  • D.E.M. 30: Features a bargraph display, operator interface or remote box, operates on 24 V DC.
  • D.E.M. 50: Includes an alarm relay, PC or Pocket interface, 4-20 mA output, operates on 24 V AC-DC.
  • D.E.M. 100: Includes an alarm relay, remote box interface, 4-20 mA output, 1-month storage, operates on 115/230 V - 50/60 Hz.

DEM DUST EMISSION CONTROL-1

DUST COLLECTOR The D.E.M. is a dust emission monitoring device which operates on the triboelectric principle : the airborne particles generate static electricity as they strike the measuring probe, thereby inducing a weak but measurable current. The more numerous the particles, the stronger the current. The D.E.M. is generally fitted in chimneys downstream from the dust filters. + The possible derating of the fan located downstream of the dust collector (ATEX directive) + The quality control of the air reintroduced into work areas and buildings + The follow-up of possible drift allowing to anticipate a failure (with regard to the regulatory control according - February 2, 1998) CHARACTERISTICS + Spot measurements and/or average readings over a programmable period + Alarm threshold adjusted from 0,01 to 50 mg/m3 + Personal identification code secures access to the settings
