Overview: The Q-MACS Basic Single Channel (SC) Rev. II is a next-generation QCL driver designed for OEM applications. It offers high reliability in pulse generation and flexibility for driving QCLs in both pulsed and continuous wave modes. This laser driver system is suitable for infrared absorption spectroscopy in both fundamental and industrial research.

General Description: The device is a single-channel laser driver with integrated data acquisition. It features a compact design with dimensions of 125mm x 70mm x 66mm and weighs 650g. It operates on a 24 VDC power supply at 60 W and includes a TO-3 socket for laser connection. Remote control is facilitated through a 3.3V UART connection, with optional I2C slave connection.

Data Acquisition: The system supports data acquisition at 125 MS/s with a bandwidth of 62 MHz.

Thermal Management: The device includes a 6 mm hose connection for optional water cooling and supports a TO3 pinout for TEC and thermistor connections.

Current Driver Specifications: The continuous wave (CW) current can reach up to 800 mA with a compliance voltage of less than 18 V, configurable. The bandwidth is 10 MHz.

Pulser Specifications: The pulser can achieve a peak current of up to 6 A and a peak voltage of up to 20 V, both configurable. The frequency range is 0.1 Hz to 5 MHz, with pulse widths configurable from 8 ns to 1000 us in 8 ns steps.

Temperature Controller: The maximum voltage is 4.3 V, with a maximum current of ±3 A. It uses an NTC temperature sensor with a resistance of 10 kOhm at 25°C, and operates within a temperature range of -25°C to 40°C.

Operating and Storage Conditions: The device operates at temperatures between 5°C and 40°C, with humidity levels from 15% to 75% relative humidity. For storage, the temperature range is -40°C to 70°C, with humidity from 10% to 100% relative humidity.
