Technical SpecificationThe Q-MACS Basic LHCW is a compact laser driver module designed for controlling continuous wave Quantum-Cascade-Lasers in optical setups. It supports various package types such as TO-3, TO-66, and Butterfly, and includes a
temperature controller and a low noise current driver.
General DescriptionThe Q-MACS Basic LHCW is a compact and flexible QCL driver for continuous wave lasers. It measures 80 mm x 40 mm x 25 mm (excluding fittings and package socket) and weighs 150 g. Key components include a package socket, temperature controller, and DC current driver. Available package versions are TO-3, TO-66, and Butterfly.
Current DriverThe maximum current is configurable at 400 mA, 300 mA, 200 mA, or 100 mA upon delivery. The bandwidth options are 10 MHz, 1 MHz, 100 kHz, 10 kHz, or 1 kHz, also configured on delivery.
Temperature ControllerThe temperature range is from -25°C to 40°C, requiring heat removal via a water cooler. The TEC voltage is ≤4.2 V and the TEC current is ≤2.8 A. The operation mode is exclusive to either heating or cooling, configured on delivery. It includes an overheat protection circuit.
Supply UnitThe supply unit includes a plug adapter for analog waveform input and manual temperature setting via a screw. The Q-MACS SC is a high-performance single-channel controller with an arbitrary function generator and USB communication. The Q-MACS SC OEM offers a customized single-channel controller with a triangular function generator and analog/digital inputs. The Q-MACS MC is a high-performance multiple-channel controller with synchronized arbitrary function generators and USB communication.
