PD Annunciator Remotely detect partial discharge activity inside any energised switchgear cabinet using the ndb Technologies PD Annunciator system. The probe is installed on the unit under test and will give instant status thus preventing long term damage to your switchgear equipment. Its unique design allows simultaneous TEV and Acoustic testing for optimized results. The flexible sensor’s unique design allows for combined directional noise acquisition and TEV testing. The PD Annunciator module is equipped with a fast HF PD detection circuit for TEV testing. It also has an ultrasonic detection circuit with a very narrow bandwidth for optimal results. Validation algorithms are used to determine the PD shape in order to select the proper alarm level. Many PD Annunciator modules can be used in cascade thus enabling PD detection on many switchgear cabinets at the same time. Ethernet cables are used for data transmission and power supply. SONOTEV PD SENSOR The SonoTEV sensor is installed directly on the switchgear’s cabinet metallic surface. It detects HF signals caused by partial discharge activity within the switchgear’s system using a capacitive coupling technology. The SonoTEV sensor is also equipped with a surface ultrasonic sensor that target’s acoustic PD signals. The probe’s internal circuit processes the signals and transmits them to the PD Annunciator module.
