Overview
The Respirometer 3024B is designed to measure the biological stability of biomass by determining the Dynamic Respirometric Index (DRI). This is achieved using a method developed by the Department of Production Plant, Agricultural Sciences, University of Milan, in accordance with UNI/TS 11184 –prEN 15590 standards.

Functionality
The DRI measurement evaluates the oxygen consumption rate required for the biochemical oxidation of biodegradable compounds in an organic matrix. Continuous ventilation is used to maintain aerobic conditions (O2 > 14%) and remove CO2, ensuring optimal microorganism development.

Applications
The Respirometer 3024B is suitable for routine analysis and laboratory testing of biostabilization processes, comparable to full-scale trials. It is used to monitor biomass and control process parameters during composting.

Software
The device includes "Respi-On-Line" software, which is pre-installed and does not require PC installation. Analysis data can be processed with "Respi-Off-Line" software, stored in a database, and exported in .txt and .xtl formats.
