Outline

The sensor outputs a low level when the S pole of a magnet faces the sensor's mark surface and is close (B≥Bop). It outputs a high level when the N pole faces the mark surface and is close (B≤Brp). The output status is latched when the magnet is far away (B=0) and requires an opposite polarity magnetic field to change.

Block Diagram

The AH413 Hall sensor is a bipolar excitation single-ended digital output Hall IC with a latch function. It includes reverse voltage protection, voltage regulators, temperature compensation, a Hall-voltage generator, a signal amplifier, a Schmitt trigger, and an open collector output drive circuit.

Latch Type Hall Sensor AH413 When the S pole of magnet faces the mark surface of the sensor and is closed to sensor (B^ Bop) , the sensor outputs low level; When the N pole faces the mark surface and is closed to sensor ( B<Brp ) , the sensor outputs high level. When the magnet if far away with the sensor (B=0), the output status of the sensor is latched and keep constant. In order to change the output status, the applied magnetic field must be opposite polarity.
