Gating Hardware FR8305 Series ORBIT/FR offers a complete line of pulse modulators covering the frequency range from 0.1 to 110 GHz. The FR8305 Series covers 18 to 110 GHz. Each product is designed to use your existing receiver and sources. The FR8305 Series provides the excellent sensitivity that is critical for minimizing the required amounts of averaging and reducing test times. panel in the standard configuration. An optional monostatic waveguide configuration or optional 2.9 mm coaxial antenna interface is also available. Type 'N' IF jacks are also provided on the rear panel for both the Transmit Reference and Receive Test IF channels. These channels are connected directly to the Agilent 8510C/8530A To cover the 18 to 26.5 and 26.5 to 40 GHz bands, ORBIT/FR offers the FR8305A/K and FR8305B/Ka, respectively. Each of these units are self-contained, fully integrated downconverters, up-converters, and pulse modulators. No external frequency converter is required with either of these two units. You can even use your existing RF synthesizer, even if it only operates to 20 GHz. These units require a second synthesizer to serve as the LO source. The low cost Agilent 83621A functions well as the LO source. The output of these pulse modulators is the 20 MHz IF required by the Agilent 8510BC Network Analyzer or Agilent 8530A Microwave Receiver. These units are efficiently packaged in a single 5.25" high standard EIA chassis capable of shelf-top or rack mount installations. A waveguide interface to a quasi-monostatic radar antenna configuration is provided at the rear ORBIT/FR also offers a line of Pulse Modulators for operation at the higher millimeter-wave frequencies. Bandwidths as wide as 10 percent are supported with output power levels designed to requirements. As with the FR8305A/K and FR8305B/Ka modulators, each of the high band units are self-contained, fully integrated downconverters, up-converters, and pulse modulators. No external frequency converter is required. These units are compactly packaged in two single 5.25" high standard EIA chassis (RFU & PSU) capable of shelf-top or rack mount installations. A waveguide interface to a quasimonostatic radar antenna configuration is provided at the rear panel in the standard configuration. · Higher power levels are optionally available with decreased bandwidth.· Broader bandwidths are optionally available.
