Product catalog summary
Overview: The document outlines specifications and guidelines for Murrplastik's MP 30.1/.2 (Open) and MP 30.3/.4 (Closed) cable drag chain systems, highlighting their universal application, interior layout, brush support, and integrated strain relief in chain brackets.
Technical Specifications: These systems offer multiple loading sides, inside or outside bends, and radii from 60.0 to 300.0 mm. Interior widths range from 40.0 to 200.0 mm with a 50.0 mm pitch. Specifications include maximum travel distances and speeds for gliding and self-supporting configurations.
Material Properties: The standard material is black Polyamide (PA), with a service temperature range of -20.0 to 100.0 °C. The gliding friction factor is 0.3, and the static friction factor is 0.45, with a fire classification of UL 94 HB.
Strain Relief and Guide Channels: Options include RS-ZL frame rail and STF Steel Fix for strain relief. Guide channels are available in galvanized/stainless steel and aluminum.
Ordering Information: A detailed ordering key is provided, covering dimensions and variations for different configurations, including frame bridge positions and material options.
Self-Supporting Length: Guidelines for determining self-supporting length include installation variants and load diagrams, emphasizing the weight of closed energy chains in calculations.
Installation Dimensions: Detailed measurements for installed heights with and without bias, safety margins, and arc projections are provided.
Chain Brackets and Shelving Systems: The KA 30 flexible chain bracket offers universal connection options. Separator and shelving systems, such as the RB-3 shelf and RBD-3 solid shelf floor, are detailed for cable organization within the chain.
Brush Support and Strain Relief: Brush supports are designed for high-wear applications from cyclical movement. Frame bridge strain relief plates and Steel Fix options are available for securing cables.
Product Specifications: Specifications for hooped clamps are provided, categorized by the number of cables they can hold: single, double, and triple clamps, with details on product code, cable diameter range, and overall height.
Lowered Fixing Point MP 30: Discusses the necessity of lowering the moving attachment point height in certain applications, providing a table with relevant measurements.
Guide Channel VAW: Describes variable guide channel systems made from aluminium or stainless steel, advising consultation of the "Variable Guide Channel System" chapter for selection guidance.
Assembly and Disassembly Instructions: Provides detailed steps for assembling and disassembling the guide channel VAW, emphasizing the importance of following the sequence for proper installation.

SELF-SUPPORTING LENGTH The self-supporting length is the distance between the chain bracket on the moving end and the start of the chain arch. The installation variant FLg offers the lowest load and wear for the energy chain. The maximum travel parameters (speed and acceleration) can be applied for this variant. HS = Installation height plus safety HMA = Height of moving end connection FLg = Self-supporting length, upper run straight FLb = Self-supporting length, upper run bent LOAD DIAGRAM FOR SELF-SUPPORTING APPLICATIONS FLg Self-supporting length, upper run straight In the FLg range, the chain...

murrplastik EINBAUMASSE The moving end chain connection is to be screw fixed at height Hma for the respective radius. Concerning the installed dimensions, you must take into account whether the chain links are equipped with or without bias. For chain links without bias, the “Installed height without bias Hsk” value has to be taken into account. If the chain links are equipped with a bias, the value “Installed height with bias Hsv” has to be taken into account. © Murrplastik Systemtechnik GmbH • MP_30_1 2_MP_30_3_4_~20171211~890280~efk_typ_30_1_2_3_4

MP 30.1/.2 OPEN / MP 30.3/.4 CLOSEDKA 30 FLEXIBLE CHAIN BRACKET This chain bracket offers universal connection options (top, bottom and front) and is attached to the ends of the chain like a side link. This allows the chain to move right up to the bracket. Each chain requires one male and one female bracket. M5 screws and insert panels are used to secure the brackets in place. By default, the chain bracket is supplied with frame bridges. The chain connection can then be optionally fitted with frame bridge strain relief RS-ZL or with strain relief using C-rails and bow clamps type STF. Configurator...

murrplastik STRAIN RELIEF WITH STEEL FIX C-rails (galvanized) for permanent integration, for accommodating the Steel Fix bow clamps in the chain brackets. The bow clamps can take up to 3 cables and are suitable for C-rails with a groove width of 11 mm. Due to the design of the trough elements, a cable preserving cable guidance is ensured. May be assembled on the inside and outside bends at both chain endings. The overall height stated is a guide only. The actual height is, amongst other things, dependent on the diameter and the quality of the cable. A safety distance of 10 mm at the fixed point above...
