COMPACT Ground straps CORRECTLY CONNECTED SMALL PART - BIG PERFORMANCE Ground straps on machines and systems are among the simplest means to effectively reduce machine and system interferences. The flat ground straps are made of very flexible E-copper which has excellent high frequency characteristics. For example, when used with a filter the ground straps prevent a large amount of interference. At the same time, the large wire diameter enables a safe connection to the protective ground wire. Ground connection should be as short as possible and have low resistance. Hole diameter, cross section and length are adapted for each application and Murrelektronik product. Ground straps with 16 mm2 or 25 mm2 are also excellent for equipotential bounding between moving machine parts. The conventional and time-consuming assembly with cable lugs is no longer necessary. Murrelektronik’s pressure-welded ends improve contact and the wires are electrolytically tin-plated, so that copper will not oxidize in a humid environment.
