Pressure/Temperature Ratings
Models LF351, LF352, and LF358 are made of LF Bronze and have specific pressure and temperature ratings. LF351 is rated at 200 psi from -20 to 150°F and 150 psi at 350°F. LF352 is rated at 400 psi from -20 to 150°F and 300 psi at 350°F. LF358 is rated at 400 psi from -20 to 100°F.

Typical Service
These models are used to strain foreign matter from pipelines, providing protection for pumps, meters, valves, and other mechanical equipment. They are constructed to be lead-free, complying with installation requirements.

Features

Self-Cleaning and Blowoff Outlets
Self-cleaning is achieved by opening the plug or valve connected to the blowoff outlet. The outlets are NPT tapped, and sizes are specified on the next page. Plugs are not normally furnished but are available upon request.

Capacity
The bodies are generously proportioned with an open area ratio much greater than the pipe size, ensuring a low-pressure drop.

Models and Sizes
Models include LF351, LF352, and LF358, available in sizes ranging from 1/4" to 3" (8 - 80mm). LF351 and LF352 have screwed ends, while LF358 has solder ends.

Screens
For water, all models from 1/4" to 2" use 304SS with a 20 mesh opening, and from 2 1/2" to 3" use 304SS with a .062 perf opening. For steam, the recommendation is 304SS with a 30 mesh opening for 1/4" to 2" and .045 perf for 2 1/2" to 3".

Materials
The body and cap are made from C87800, and the screen is made from 304SS. The gasket is metal-filled graphite. These materials comply with NSF 61/NSF 372 standards, ensuring less than 0.25% lead by weight.
