Product catalog summary
Overview: The Mucon Hygienic Series K Iris Diaphragm Valve is designed for efficient and hygienic sealing around tubes, allowing material to flow freely without pressure leakage or tube damage. It features a quick disconnect flange system for easy installation and removal.
Specifications: The valve includes a one-piece molded diaphragm that acts as a gasket, which can be removed without tools. It is suitable for transferring materials between different conditions, such as rooms with varying light or pressure levels.
Applications: The valve is particularly effective in cleanrooms where pressure differentials can cause regular pressure loss. It provides a reliable seal around any tube diameter passing through walls separating different conditions. It is also used for temporarily sealing service pipework or tubing, such as CIP and utility pipes.
Unique Features: The Mucon Iris Diaphragm Valve is versatile for controlling dry bulk solids. With a rubber/elastomeric diaphragm, it can close around lumps or foreign bodies while maintaining an effective seal for smaller particles and dust. This feature is crucial for sealing service tubes between cleanrooms.

Iris Valve - Cleanroom Glanding Application-1

The Gland Seal Solution For Cleanrooms Mucon Iris Diaphragm Valves - Not just for controlling powder! The Mucon Iris Diaphragm Valve (IDV) has proved itself to be one of the most versatile flow control valves for dry bulk solids. When fitted with a rubber/elastomeric diaphragm, the valve is capable of closing around lumps of product, or even foreign bodies trapped during closure, whilst still providing an effective seal to smaller particles and dust. It is this unique feature that has enabled the IDV to seal around service tubes between cleanrooms. The Problem Transfer of material from one condition to another. E.g. between light and dark rooms or rooms with pressure differential. When cleanrooms operate at a slight over pressure, with one being at a higher pressure than the other, problems of pressure loss occur on a regular basis. The Requirement An effective, hygienic and reliable way of sealing around any tube diameter passing ‘through the wall’ separating one condition from another. Temporary sealing of service pipe work or tubing e.g. CIP, Utility Pipes etc. The Solution Mucon Hygienic Series K Iris Diaphragm Valve with quick disconnect flanges brings the tubes together and closes tightly around them. Material is allowed to flow freely, without pressure leakage or damage to the tubes. The one piece moulded diaphragm acts as the valves gasket and is easy to remove without the need for tools. Mucon K-Series Iris Diaphragm Valve Vee-clamp Quick Release Connection Valve Diaphragm seals around the Service Pipe Section through wall Outer Duct and Valve Mounting Service Pipe or Cabl
