CA1800 CHARGE AMPLIFIER SYSTEM

CA1800 CHARGE AMPLIFIER SYSTEM

Product catalog summary
Overview: The CA1800 Charge Amplifier System is designed for conditioning and amplifying charge-mode accelerometer signals, suitable for environments like engine test cell control rooms. It offers up to eight channels of charge amplification, providing both buffered acceleration and integrated velocity signal outputs.
Specifications:
  • Inputs: Differential input with static discharge protection, maximum input charge of 16,000 pC pk, and input impedance of 10Ω maximum.
  • Outputs: Normally differential, with options for single-ended. Velocity output via rear panel BNC connector and acceleration output via front panel BNC connector. Output impedance is 10Ω maximum, with a capacitance load of 0.1µF maximum and a linear output voltage of 17Vpk-pk max.
  • Power Requirements: Operates on 110/240 VAC ±15%, 50 - 400 Hz, with a warm-up time of 5 minutes.
  • Physical Characteristics: Dimensions are 3.5” h X 19” w X 13” d, weighing 11.7 lbs, and constructed from aluminum.
Configuration Options:
  • Number of Channels: 4, 6, or 8.
  • Channel Gain Settings: 1, 4, or 10 mV/pC.
  • Highpass Filter Options: 10, 15, 20, or 25 Hz.
  • Outputs: Configurable as Differential or Single Ended.
Performance: The system maintains a linearity of 2% and residual noise of 1.0 mV RMS maximum at gain = 1, and 4.0 mV RMS max at gain = 10.

CA1800 CHARGE AMPLIFIER SYSTEM-1

CA1800 Charge Amplifier System The CA1800 Charge Amplifier System conditions and amplifies charge-mode accelerometer signals. It is a rugged, rackmountable instrument designed to be used engine test cell control rooms and other environments where charge-mode accelerometers are used to measure machinery vibration. The CA1800 Charge Amplifier System provides up to eight (8) channels of charge amplification. Each charge amplifier provides a buffered acceleration output signal as well as an integrated (velocity) signal output. Outputs may be configured for either differential or singled ended configurations, and each channel may be configured (at the MTI Instruments factory) for one of three different gain settings to match accelerometer sensitivities.
