The MTF Multi-Tech Conveyor Belts can optionally be equipped with different metal detection facilities. Depending on the application and the desired sensitivity, a one- or two-layered surface detector or a tunnel detector is available. When metal is detected in the material during the conveying process, the detector releases an electrical pulse which can be analysed by different controls. These conveyors with metal detectors are predominantly used in the plastics industry as feeding conveyors for granulate mills and in the food industry.
